Goli ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Goli mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

01 Data Controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is the operator of the Goli application.

02 Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you use Goli:

Email address — for account registration and login
Username and display name — shown to other users in groups
Country and city — optional, used for regional leaderboards
Profile photo — optional, uploaded by you
Match predictions (tips) — your score predictions for football matches
Push notification token — to send you relevant notifications
Group names entered by you — checked for inappropriate content

03 How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

To provide and operate the App (authentication, groups, tips, leaderboards)
To send push notifications about match results and points
To display you in regional leaderboards (only if you opt in)
To moderate content and prevent misuse (group names, usernames)
To improve the App and fix technical issues

Legal basis (Kosovo Law No. 06/L-082 / GDPR Art. 6): Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

04 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Supabase (supabase.com)

Our backend infrastructure — stores your account data, tips, and group information. Data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Privacy policy →

Expo / Expo Push Notifications

Used to deliver push notifications to your device. Your device push token is stored on our servers and shared with Expo. Privacy policy →

OpenAI (openai.com)

Used to moderate text content (group names, usernames) for inappropriate content. Only the text you submit is sent — no account data. Privacy policy →

05 Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is shared only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the App. Within the App, your username, display name, and tip predictions are visible to other members of your groups (after a match has started).

06 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and predictions associated with your account are permanently deleted within 30 days. Push notification tokens are removed immediately upon account deletion.

07 Your Rights

Under Kosovo Law No. 06/L-082 and applicable data protection law, you have the following rights:

Right of access — request a copy of your personal data
Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and data
Right to restriction — limit how we process your data
Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@goli-app.com. You may also contact the Information and Privacy Agency of Kosovo (IKD — Agjensia e Informimit dhe Privatësisë) if you believe your rights have been violated.

08 Children's Privacy

Goli is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

09 Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security in our database, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via a notification in the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
